D. Chris Tucker
Chief Executive Officer
Chris Tucker is the Founding Principal and serves as Chief Executive Officer leading all aspects of the firm’s organic growth strategy, M&A execution, and the investment policy. He has been managing investments for high-net-worth individuals and family offices since 1989 when he began his career as a portfolio manager for trust accounts at SunTrust Bank. Mr. Tucker went on to gain global investing experience by working in Buenos Aires, New York, and London. He researched, traded, and invested in global equities for some of the world’s most recognized firms, such as UBS, Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, HSBC, and Artha Capital, a long-short hedge fund. Mr. Tucker received his B.A. from Vanderbilt University, majoring in economics and is a CFA Charterholder. He currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Wealth Management Group at the CFA Society of New York.
Jeffrey Evans
Principal
Jeffrey Evans serves as a Principal at Greenwich Advisors. Previously, Jeff served as Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets at UBS’s Financial Institutions Group, Americas and at Keefe Bruyette and Woods, an investment bank and research house specializing in the financial services sector. Prior to his senior management role at Keefe Bruyette and Woods, Jeff held senior positions at Stifel, Nicolaus & Co., including leading capital markets, serving as wealth management branch management, and as a wealth management professional. In addition, Jeff serves on the Advisory Board of CoVenture an early stage venture capital firm, as well as the Foundation Board of the Orange County School of the Arts. Other community board activities include: United Way of Greenwich, First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich, the Innis Arden Golf Club. Jeff received his M.B.A. from Washington University of St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas.
Chris Kuehne, MS, CFP

Chris Kuehne serves as Principal and Senior Private Wealth Adviser. Mr. Kuehne was the Founder of Independent Financial Advisors, a registered investment advisory firm he established to provide independent, fiduciary-based financial guidance to individuals and families. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his disciplined approach to portfolio management, long-term planning, and his unwavering commitment to client service. Chris earned his Master of Science in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University and his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
Daniel Portnoy
Principal
Mr. Portnoy serves as Principal and Private Wealth Manager. He also is the COO and Founding Partner of Ayerport LLC, a holding company for financial education and strategizing services. Prior to that, he served as COO of a private high speed futures arbitrage trading firm and as COO of its trading technology arm which he later purchased from the firm’s owners. Mr. Portnoy began his career in the capital markets at Morgan Stanley and then headed up technology for Credit Suisse First Boston Asset Management. He also headed the US Equities Technology group at HSBC Securities USA and served on the Equities Operation Committee. He also traded futures as a floor trader for his own account. Mr. Portnoy received his B.A. from Clark University in Worcester, MA, where he designed his own major around Energy Technology and Policy.
Alex Tucker
Associate
Alex Tucker serves as an Associate at Greenwich Advisors. He brings a diverse background spanning venture capital, strategic advisory, and consulting experiences. Previously, Mr. Tucker has worked as an analyst in venture capital, sourcing and evaluating early-stage startup investments across technology and healthcare, as well as providing advisory services on commercialization & go-to-market strategy to founders. He also held analytical & consulting roles at a boutique consultancy supporting corporate & financial services clients with a healthcare and life-science sector focus. Mr. Tucker earned his B.A. from Cornell University.
